Septic Tank Cleaning
Lifting a septic tank lid/s, emptying the tank, and taking the waste to the appropriate dump station typically cost $320.00 ($368.00 incl GST).
This can change with callouts and location.
The local councils charge dump fees on the waste dumped, which is done by weight. This will vary due to the considerable variations in the size of septic tanks.
Old tanks tend to be relatively small in comparison to more modern tanks. The dump fee can be as low as $120 and as high as $450. Most tanks emptied with dump fees are around $500-$800 + GST.
Any additional work done will be charged at $75.00 per hour.

We can also establish how often the tank needs emptying, and we will keep a record to remind you so you don’t have to.
At the end of each job, we leave our customers with an information pack to enable them to better look after their system to ensure longevity and also be more environmentally friendly.

Payment
An invoice will be emailed out shortly after the job is completed. Standard payment terms are seven days unless a prior arrangement has been made.
Our bank details will be provided on the invoice. Credit card payment is accepted. Fees will be added to the total amount. Contact us to use this facility.
Grease Traps
Due to the variability of the grease traps, prices are available to request.
If you have a grease trap, contact us, and we will come and discuss your needs and provide you with a quote.
Other Charges
Sump/silt traps will be charged by the hour, and dump fees apply.

The truck is usually charged at $180.00 per hour, and any labour is charged at $75.00 per hour.

How often should I empty my septic tank?
Most tanks should be emptied every 3-5 years. This depends on the size of the tank and the amount of waste going into the tank. Our experienced operator can work this out for you. If you don’t know when it was done last you should get it done.
Why does my septic system smell?
Septic tanks only smell when they are not working properly. If it smells get it cleaned or serviced.
How close do you need to get the septic tank?
30m max from the tank to the truck.
What access do I need to allow for the truck?
Our truck needs at least 3.5m wide and 3.5m high for access. If there’s not enough room we will prune trees.
I have one of those fancy systems, do I need to get it emptied?
What happens if I don’t empty my septic tank regularly?
If you don’t look after you septic tank the solid waste will pass through and the disposal system will fail. This will cost thousands of dollars to repair. It’s cheaper to look after your septic tank rather than replace it.
How do I know my septic tank is full?
If it smells or there is wet patches around the tank or if your drains are backing up then its full. If you’re suspicious get it emptied.
There is a light/audible alarm going, what does this mean?
This means that a pump has failed. This needs attention immediately. Call us.
